In the year 1984 Mr. Amiya Bhushan Banerjee, contemporary Educationalist, Writer, Novelist, Poet, member of Legislative Assembly has decided to do something for whole some developments of Basirhat and started the chain of Shishu Bhavan private primary Charitable School with some Scholars and Ramkrishna Mission Neempith in trust. Now more than 500 students from remote areas of peripheral parts of Basirhat, underprivileged children are being served Education and through this, they are getting another way of upbringing, enlightenment and better living standards. When he decided to establish Shishu Bhavan School in 1984, only one perspective was there in his mind. He wanted to initiate such an institution which can fulfill the meaning of the real educational system. He believes that education means overall development of the student mentally and physically that is why for the beginning of Shishu Bhavan School. The school provides all students with such facilities as Karate coaching, standard outdoor games etc, apart from quality academic education.
